Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Practice Management Consultant -Template Optimization

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Hybrid position (On-Site at Sentara Park)

Position Summary:

To provide practice management solutions across the Sentara Ambulatory Division to help achieve practice operations excellence. As subject matter experts in practice management and process improvement, they will serve our practices by providing business tools, best practices, gap analysis, recommendations, and action planning.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's level degree
  • Requires two (2) years experience with Epic systems and workflows.
  • Three (3) years experience in practice management, medical office, training and development, supervisory/management

Template Design and Development

  • Design scheduling templates that align with clinical workflows, physician preferences, and organizational goals.
  • Develop templates for new providers, specialties, and services, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
  • Collaborate with department heads and physicians to balance patient access with provider workload.

Management and Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of scheduling templates across all specialties.
  • Regularly review and update templates to reflect changes in clinical services, physician availability, or patient demand.
  • Monitor schedule performance metrics, such as patient wait times, no-show rates, and provider utilization.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between physicians, clinic managers, and the scheduling team.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to gather feedback on template performance and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Communicate updates and changes to scheduling templates effectively to all stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on scheduling performance to leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights to propose and implement scheduling strategies.

Process Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to enhance scheduling practices and improve patient access.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for template design and management.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate them into scheduling processes.
