The Opportunity

The Financial Contracts Analyst is responsible for reviewing revenue-generating contracts and customer pricing recommendations to ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and the Adobe's policies for revenue recognition and operations.

This individual has a significant role in analyzing revenue recognition contract information for the company in a timely and accurate manner. The position will be based at the Company Headquarters in San Jose, CA; Denver, CO; or Lehi, UT.

What you'll Do

Review contracts and customer pricing recommendations for revenue recognition compliance.

Prepare contract summaries to highlight revenue recognition issues and non-standard terms.

Partner with Legal, and the Operations teams on deal and price structuring to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and the company's revenue recognition policy.

Be a high caliber professional and revenue specialist that is a liaison for contract issues with Finance, Operations, and Legal teams. Provide revenue recognition mentorship and training to such teams as the need arises.

Work closely with various organizations throughout Adobe to standardize and scale revenue-generating contracts to meet company objectives for revenue recognition.

Monitor contract approval process to align with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Prepare data and other support information as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external/internal auditors.

Provide support and innovative ideas on key projects.

What you need to succeed

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or equivalent practical experience.

2+ years of work experience. Big 4 CPA firm and software experience recommended.

General understanding of ASC 606.

Experience in reviewing complex contractual terms and conditions to determine appropriate revenue recognition in alignment with GAAP.

Work collaboratively with teams from Finance/Accounting, Sales, Legal, the Business Units and Operations.

Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be professional and have a positive attitude. Must be detail oriented and well organized with the ability to work under pressure. Need to possess strong problem solving skills and flexibility. Need to have an even temperament, with excellent work ethic and dedication.

Outstanding customer service focus.

Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce.com, Power BI, and/or SnapLogic a plus.

CPA preferred but not required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $73,200 -- $148,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
