Cloud Solutions Architect - HCLS (IC5) Location: Eastern United States Job Summary NetApp is seeking an experienced AWS Storage Solutions Architect to join our growing public cloud services team, focusing on Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN). This role combines deep technical expertise in storage solutions, cloud architecture, and customer engagement to drive adoption of NetApp's first-party service on AWS. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with AWS services, storage technologies, and high-performance computing environments. This position offers the opportunity to influence both technical direction and customer success in a rapidly growing business segment showing 650% YoY growth. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership * Design and implement FSxN solutions for diverse customer workloads, including Epic EHR, HCLS, and enterprise applications * Create and deliver technical workshops and proof-of-concepts demonstrating FSxN capabilities * Develop reference architectures and automation solutions using CloudFormation, Terraform, and other IaC tools * Author technical content including blogs, best practices guides, and workshop materials * Present at major industry events and customer executive briefings Customer Engagement * Partner with AWS solution architects to design and implement optimal storage solutions * Guide customers through technical validation and implementation processes * Provide architectural guidance for enterprise-scale migrations and deployments * Enable the AWS architect community on NetApp solutions and technologies * Support customer operational events and provide technical escalation assistance Technical Expertise * Drive innovation in NetApp's cloud platforms and influence product roadmap * Maintain deep expertise in AWS services, particularly storage-related offerings * Stay current with cloud industry trends and emerging technologies * Contribute to internal technical initiatives and best practices development Required Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in technical infrastructure, with focus on storage and cloud technologies * Deep expertise in AWS services, particularly storage solutions (EBS, S3, EFS, FSx) * Strong background in storage technologies (NAS, SAN, Object Storage) * Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform) * Demonstrated ability to create technical content and present at industry events * AWS Solutions Architect certification or equivalent experience * Excellence in customer engagement and technical communication Preferred Qualifications * Experience with HPC environments and workloads * Background in performance analysis and optimization * Familiarity with NetApp ONTAP systems * Experience with container technologies and orchestration * Track record of technical publication and public speaking * Additional public cloud platform experience (Azure, GCP) This position offers flexible work location within the United States with occasional travel for customer engagements and industry events.
Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 228,735 - 296,010 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
