Tectonic is seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to contribute to the planning, design, and inspection of various structural engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural engineering principles, bridge design, and a passion for transportation infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career in the A/E/C industry while working alongside experienced professionals in the field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Perform detailed structural analysis and design for a variety of structural engineering projects, including bridges;
  • Prepare design calculations, construction documents, and specifications;
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, schedules, and project proposals;
  • Participate in site investigations, inspections, and condition assessments of existing bridges;
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines;
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, and design reviews;
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, etc.) to complete complex projects;
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and guidelines;
  • All related duties as required;


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred);
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering; bridge design experience strongly preferred;
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software;
  • Strong knowledge of materials, load analysis, and design principles;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and inspections.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. Occasionally, the employee will need to move around on the job-site, including maneuvering around construction site obstacles and hiking the landscape in various weather conditions, including rain and snow, sometimes while lifting and/or moving equipment up to 25 lbs. They employee must be able to safely operate a motor-vehicle, in which they may be required to remain stationary for a prolonged period of time. The employee will also communicate with colleagues, supervisors and clients by using the Corporate and client e-mail and telephone system. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. PAY RANGE

Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.

Pay Range: $78,000 - $90,000 per year
