This position requires you to be Onsite role 5 days a week in our FAPS office.

Essential Duties:



  • Strategic Planning: Recommend and plan information technology operating solutions and process reengineering efforts aligned with company objectives.
  • Terminal Operations Expertise: Maintain an understanding of Terminal Operating Systems, processes, and reengineering efforts, providing recommendations for internal initiatives.
  • Technical Support: Provide 24/7 technical support to regional business users at customer locations within the west region. Offer tier 1 and 2 level support for all IT technology used in terminal operations.
  • Infrastructure Enhancement: Participate in ongoing enhancements of the computing infrastructure, including requirements, design, and implementation of new facilities, networks, servers, workstations, PC, remote/home communication, and emerging technologies.
  • Business Process Support & Training: Provide daily business process support and training on IT technology used in terminal operations. Train terminal and admin level users in TOS use and troubleshooting, developing training materials.
  • Analytics Skills & Communication: Analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations for process improvements. Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with other business units and leaders, aligning IT objectives through regular meetings and steering committees.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between operational teams and IT staff, including the creation of functional specification documentation. Provide direct communication to customers regarding IT issues and initiatives.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate inter-departmental resources for deployments, project management, and inventory control.
  • Sourcing & Purchasing: Oversee the procurement process for operational hardware and manage the final receipt and acceptance of items.
  • Asset Inventory: Track and manage asset inventory.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Capable of serving as a valuable resource and mentor to Field Engineers, providing guidance in overcoming complex technical challenges.
  • Proven experience in managing, integrating, and coordinating IT operations across multiple locations.
  • Skilled in assessing competing technology solutions for business relevance, value, and return on investment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain TWIC credentials.



Preferred Additional Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with project management principles, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and resources.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing and optimizing virtual platforms, such as Nutanix or VMware.
  • Experience as a System Administrator.
  • Proficient in administering Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Windows server environments.
  • Relevant IT certifications, including MCSA, CCNA, VCTA, Network+, Security+, etc.

Working Conditions:



  • Ability to travel to support remote sites 15%
  • Ability to function in under-way construction sites.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs in buildings that are not elevator equipped.
  • Movement around the marine terminal(s) environment.
  • Candidates will be required to carry a smartphone.
  • Participation in a 24x7 On-Call rotation.
