Quality Liaison and Training Manager

HEICO is seeking aQuality Liaison and Training Manager for an immediate full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL.

This role will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Quality inspection methodologies and best practices. The SME will serve as the primary Quality contact between Jet Avion Corporation and LPI Corporation, acting as a bridge between both companies, proactively addressing quality requirements and maintaining open lines of communication. This role will also be responsible for establishing a training program for development of quality inspection personnel at both divisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.




  • Serve as the primary contact for all quality-related issues, ensuring timely and effective communication and
  • Monitor, review, and analyze production processes and product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and
  • Ownership of quality planning for in-process and final inspections to optimize use of resources while maintaining high quality
  • Act as Lead Source Inspector of Jet Avion parts manufactured by
  • Raise organizational awareness of proper inspection techniques and best
  • Provide direction in the development and implementation of a training program for improving inspection personnel capabilities.



EDUCATION




  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/combination of experience and education.



EXPERIENCE




  • At least 15 years of related work experience required; minimum of 10 years experience in an aerospace quality environment
  • Knowledge and experience in GD&T is required
  • Knowledge and experience in Layout Inspection Techniques is required CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • ASQ CQI or CQE Certification is a
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES

Language/Communication: English Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, associates, Team Members and customers.

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite, Word, Outlook, and Excel required.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.

Negotiation Skills: Ability to influence others effectively; ability to propose solutions beneficial to all parties and encourage others to support your point of view.

Problem Solving: Ability to find unique solutions to problems that may lead to a beneficial compromise.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks. Understanding the need for urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to work in a team environment and independently.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office / Laboratory environment, phone/computer work, low noise level except when on the manufacturing floor where it will be medium to high level.
