The Opportunity
The Global Safety and Security (GSS) Director for Executive Protection (EP) will manage key Executive Protection, Physical Security and Protective Intelligence programs to ensure the safety and security of Adobe's Executive Team (E-team) and other senior leaders to include VIPs visiting Adobe facilities or attending Adobe-sponsored events. The incumbent is expected to model Adobe Values and exercise the duties and responsibilities of this position with discretion, nuance, and maturity, and possess excellent judgement, decision-making skills, and program management skills.
What you'll Do
- Lead Adobe's global EP program which includes EP teams, Residential Security efforts, and Cyber and Digital monitoring and data removal. Oversee contract team members and partner with Adobe's E-team, their immediate staff, and family members.
- Manage vendor partners, relationships, and contracts; develop, manage, and be accountable for EP resources and budget.
- Develop and improve trust-focused professional relationships with the Adobe leadership team and key partners.
- Improve global law enforcement and security liaison efforts with government and private sector contacts.
- Lead continuous training and professional development for internal EP personnel and contracted staff, implementing programs on situational awareness, cybersecurity, and emerging protective technologies to ensure preparedness for evolving threats.
- Coordinate insurance and liability assessments related to executive protection services and manage claims and incident reports involving executive protection.
- Define and review key performance indicators, including response times, protection satisfaction, and risk mitigation success, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Establish a process for regular program reviews, including post-incident evaluations and feedback with executives and internal/external partners, continuously assessing and improving the EP program's strategies, protocols, and operational efficiency.
What you need to succeed
- 15+ years of EP-related experience at the operational and leadership level, to include vendor and budget oversight, and EP-related technology management and services required. Five or more years specifically managing corporate close protection programs preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing/leading all aspects of a multi-faceted EP program at a senior leadership level, either in government or private sector. This includes but is not limited to policy, EP operations, program and resource management, vendor management, risk assessments, and threat investigations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to include written and verbal communications, and an ability to build networks and develop trust and confidence with both internal and external partners and effectively brief senior leadership.
- Excellent judgement and decision-making skills, as well as discretion and nuance.
- Demonstrated success supporting executive-level clients given their dynamic schedules, their professional and personal expectations, and staff expectations.
- Prior law enforcement/security/military experience and substantive international experience preferred.
- Active or prior U.S. government security clearance preferred.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $147,800 -- $281,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
