POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The Operations and Growth, Director (OGD) is a senior-level business partner who works closely with the President and plays a pivotal role in connecting relationships with results. This role is crucial in aligning business strategies with operational execution, fostering impactful partnerships, and driving business development. The OGD will have a deep understanding of all business aspects and will collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals, overcome challenges, and develop strategies for operations and business development.
- Collaborate with leadership on goals, challenges, and strategies for operations and business development.
- Identify areas of opportunity, improvement, and deficiencies; work with operational staff to plan and implement solutions.
- Identifies needs and shapes solutions that will increase demand for our services to increase our value and reputation in the industry with customers and teaming partners.
- Improve performance metrics and identify growth opportunities within existing programs/customer bases.
- Integrate the business with customers, stakeholders, and functional partners to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Engage with subsidiary employees and customers to ensure expectations are met and identify areas for growth and increased customer and employee satisfaction.
- Nurture and build relationships across internal departments, contract employees, and teaming partners to strengthen the overall vitality and performance of the business.
- Ensures the relationships are aligned to tangible results, driving the subsidiary forward to achieve excellence and impact.
- Mentor operations and program staff to align with organizational and contractual objectives.
- Identifies recommendations to optimize existing talents, strengths, and resources to drive strategic results.
- Drive innovation, creativity, value, and collaboration reflecting business strategies and plans to offer a competitive advantage.
- Work with Business Strategy Managers, Bid and Proposal, and Pricing Teams to prepare and submit winning proposals for new subsidiary business and re-competes.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet business requirements.
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, ensuring solutions are understood and acceptable to internal company stakeholders and external customers and partners.
- Translate business language into customer/employee friendly dialogues to ensure clarity, buy-in and enthusiasm.
- Engage with customers, employees, and partners to understand their perspectives and proactively address concerns.
- Shape opportunities to position the subsidiary for competitive solicitations and align resources to strategic goals.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with new initiatives or partnerships.
- Travel to CONUS customer and field employee sites at least quarterly and OCONUS sites annually or as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or accounting.
- A minimum of 15 years of U.S. Federal Contracting experience in operations and strategic growth.
- 10 years in a leadership and supervisory role on a Federal Contract with demonstrated success in managing and mentoring staff.
- A minimum of 5 years performing capture management through opportunity identification, qualification, gate review, submission, and award.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of success in developing and managing relationships.
- Highly proficient in negotiations, pricing, and proposal development with a proven track record of securing contract awards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent graduate-level degree.
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with business process analysis and business continuity management.
