Description Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst Job Location: Chicago, IL Pay Range: $93,142.50 - $124,190.00+ (Based on Experience) DHL Global Forwarding ("DGF") manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. In this Senior Financial Analyst role you will be responsible for providing financial and controlling related services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. Key Responsibilities:* Prepare project plans, measure performance and drive root-cause analysis of results (customer/sales channels/sector/product/ tradelane profitability, etc.), coordinates planning and forecasting processes (Demand) Initiates development of action plans, follows up and monitors implementation/effects Business Partner Facilitates strategy implementation, decision-making process and management reviews Proactively identifies trends, opportunities, risks Supports RFQ process Challenges commercial performance (pipeline inform., ship to profile/hit ratios, etc.) Analysis and Performance Measurement Measures performance and conducts root cause analysis of results (customer/sales channels/sector/product/ trade lane profitability etc.) Monitors development of sell rates Prepares commentary on performance and critical issues Monitors target achievement ( growth, margin, etc.) Planning and Forecasting Facilitates planning and forecasting of demand (volume forecast) Coordinates projected volumes with Product Capacity Controller Initiation and monitoring of actions Participates in required actions and follows up on implementation/effects Escalates to Country Head of Business Controlling (or Product Controlling Team Lead, where applicable) Skills / Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting Bachelors degree in Finance or equivalent Good knowledge of forwarding business, DGF AFR product both exports and imports CargoWise experience Ability to communicate courteously and effectively Very results-driven and detailed-oriented with an ability to positively influence others across multiple groups An ability to work independently relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily deliverables Ability to work effectively with others as a member of a work team Experience of processing and handling large volumes of data, spreadsheets and reports Benefits: (All non-union employees) Total Compensation Package: We offer a competitive base salary. 401(k) with a match: Pre-tax 401(k) contribution plan comes with a $1 for $1 match up to 4% quarterly, plus a 2% base contribution annually to help you save for retirement.
