SUMMARY:

Goldbelt Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver. Under the direction of the General Manager. Goldbelt Transportation LLC, is responsible for operating a 40' passenger bus, providing transportation for Coeur Kensington Mine Workers, ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction. This position can be full-time, part-time or intermittent.

JOB DUTIES:

• Complies at all times with safety and traffic regulations and requirements while driving the bus.
• Assists with loading and unloading of passengers and freight.
• Performs safety checks on vehicle Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicle including cleaning, window washing, lubrication, oil and tire pressure checks, and minor mechanical repairs.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Ability to safely drive a passenger bus in all types of weather, road conditions, and in darkness
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
• Ability to perform minor maintenance on the bus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle emergency or stressful situations in a calm manner
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to install tire chains
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

• Forty-foot passenger bus, mobile radio, telephone, and hand tools used in the maintenance of vehicles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• At least 19 years of age and have held a driver's license for at least one year;
• Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class B) with passenger and air brake endorsements;
• Possess a medical certificate for CDL drivers;
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPR Certification
