Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Healthcare manages the national Healthcare sales program, overseeing and implementing the National Healthcare Strategy. This role is focused on growing the Healthcare business through coaching and leadership of the Healthcare Account Managers and Business Development Managers.

* Proven Implementation Services: design, turnkey installation, and project management for code-compliant medical gas systems.

* Preventive Maintenance: proactive maintenance practices enhance ROI for medical gas systems by supporting reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.

* Regular Inspections, Testing, and Certification: regular checks help protect patients and promote regulatory compliance.

* Equipment Acquisition and Installation: Messer offers the experience and industry relationships needed to support the cost-effective acquisition of medical gas equipment and replacement parts.

Principal Responsibilities:

* Develop and retain long-term and positive relationships with Healthcare customers, securing the profitable growth objectives for the medical oxygen and nitrogen business.

* Develop and implement strategic & tactical programs for the Healthcare portfolios, including development of GPO relationships.

* Direct responsibility for the Healthcare team, including Account Managers and Business Development Managers.

* Responsible for in-field coaching for the Healthcare team ensuring the capabilities are in line with local and key account strategies.

* Ensure customer visits/engagement requirements are being met by the Account Management team.

* Propose and follow-up objectives for sales, marketing and results for regional/ national key accounts and local customers, in co-operation local account managers.

* Oversee the business portfolio, minimizing at risk business.

* Propose and follow-up on pricing, debt and sales/marketing guidelines that will enable the sales and marketing objectives to be met in line with best commercial practices.

* Propose activities in cooperation with the customer supporting the account plan (e.g. involvement of application technology or service).

* Setup and coordinate executive sponsorship for selected accounts.

* Promote the complete Messer value-added Product Service Offerings.

* Ensure that customer processes and applications are understood such that new and growth opportunities can be realized.

* Ensure Messer is effective in value recognition with key accounts with implementation of formal value capture process wherever possible.

* Work with local teams to enhance Messer's reputation with customer, enable positive differentiation and maximize business retention.

* Ensure that Messer policies and standards of safety are observed and understood, and that any customer safety requirements are met by Messer.

* In depth knowledge of trends in the market and among customers to identify new market potentials.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or Technical Discipline
  • Minimum 10 Years total business experience, 5 Years in Industrial Gas Industry
  • Travel Required: Nationally 40-50%
