We're looking for a friendly and reliable Bus Driver to help our residents get where they need to go-whether it's ride to an appointment, a fun group outing, or a special event. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport residents to and from the facility for scheduled outings.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes for trips.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks to maintain bus systems.
  • Demonstrate professional and courteous conduct with residents, families, visitors, staff, and others.
  • Comply with DOT alcohol and controlled substances policies, including pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Follow all traffic laws and practice defensive driving techniques.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record.
  • Compliance with DOT requirements, including drug testing.
  • Prior experience working with seniors is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Frequent bending, squatting, and adjusting of wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.
  • Clear vision (at least 20/40 in each eye, with or without corrective lenses) for traffic signals and signage.
  • Strength to push, pull, and lift objects between 10 - 25 pounds.
  • Continuous movement, including walking, standing, sitting, and safely assisting participants.
  • Clear communication and ability to hear verbal instructions in a moderately noisy environment.

Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor work across all four seasons.

Schedule

  • Typically Monday - Friday, with some evenings and weekends based on scheduled programs and transportation needs.
