Your Day-to-Day:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilledAdvanced IT System Administratorto join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, specializing inVMware virtualization, vSAN, Microsoft Server administration, and backup/recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive troubleshooting capabilities, some project management skills, and a proactive approach to system optimization and security.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Virtualization:

• Manage and maintainVMware environments, includingvSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
• Monitor and optimize virtualized environments to ensurehigh availability, performance, and security.
• Perform server deployments, upgrades, patches, and system hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization and hardware-related issues.

Microsoft Server & IT Infrastructure:

• Administer and supportWindows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022), includingActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
• Ensure properconfiguration, optimization, and securityof Microsoft-based solutions.
• Troubleshoothardware/software failures, working with vendors as necessary.

Backup, Restore, and Disaster Recovery:

• Design, implement, and maintainbackup and recovery solutions(e.g., Acronis, or other enterprise backup tools).
• Develop and testdisaster recovery plansto ensurebusiness continuity.
• Monitor backup integrity and conduct periodic recovery tests.

Project Management & Documentation:

• Plan and executeinfrastructure projects, including server migrations, system upgrades, and cloud integration.
• Develop project schedules, milestones, and risk assessments.
• Providestatus updates and reportsto stakeholders.
• Maintain thoroughdocumentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensuresystem security policies and best practicesare implemented.
• Monitor logs and conductproactive system auditsto identify vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with security teams toenforce compliance with industry standards.

Who You Are:

• 10+ yearsof experience inIT system administration, focusing on virtualization and Microsoft server environments.
• Expertise and strong knowledge inVMware technologies(vSphere, ESXi, vSAN, vCenter).
• Strong knowledge ofWindows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell scripting.
• Experience withenterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency inserver hardware troubleshootingand storage management.
• Solid understanding ofnetworking concepts(firewalls, VLANs, load balancing, and VPNs).
• Ability tolead projects, manage timelines, and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMwareVCPcertification.
• MicrosoftMCSA/MCSEcertification.
• Knowledge ofautomation tools (PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform).
• Familiarity withITIL frameworks and best practices.

• Ability toprioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
