Job Title: Marketing Analyst

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Marketing and Sales

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Flex Work Eligible! This position qualifies for the Flexible Work Policy. Employees receive 75 workdays annually to work remote! The initial amount of days is prorated for the first year based on start date.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

The Marketing Analyst provides support to Loam's Sales and Marketing activities through mid-level management of the internal and external proposal processes. This individual will play a key role in proposal and pricing activities to ensure successful proposal submissions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Functional and Technical Skills



  • Develop, prepare, and manage proposals and proposal approval process, including executive reviews, for North American services and global business segment by utilizing proposal management and approval software. Create and manage RFI (Request for Information) and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) documents to gather and interpret information and progress projects.
  • Accountable for accuracy of mid-level financial analysis and projections, technical specifications provided to customers, meeting RFP (Request for Proposal) deadlines, quality of final proposal, and timely responses to requested revisions.
  • Lead the detailed analysis of solicitation documents, i.e. RFP, RFQ (Request for Quote), SOW (Statement of Work) and support the proposal plan, including the proposal schedule/outline, internal RFI (Request for Information) process, compliance matrix, version control/information sharing, and review cycles.
  • Lead and collaborate with internal departments to compile technical and cost components for proposals. Partner with legal department and Contracts Analyst to ensure proposal compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Lead the creation of supporting documents for proposals including financial analysis (pricing history, P&Ls, cost estimate), summary of proposal, project definition, and other relevant information.


Commercial Management



  • Administer and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in IFS. Maintain detailed records of sales initiatives, proposals, and customer communication. Analyze and manage data from internal reporting systems to monitor fleet statistics and performance.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings related to proposals and/or general marketing activities.
  • Gather and interpret data to provide analytical support during any customer negotiations as part of partnership and collaboration with Regional Sales Managers.
  • Lead the creation of Value Proposition content to provide support for future customer needs
  • Provide mid-level marketing and analytical support to global entities upon request.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, and/or Marketing

Experience: 3 years in analytics, proposal writing and/or marketing



  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Adobe
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability manages projects with a sense of urgency


In lieu of education for 7+years or equivalent combination of education and experience in analytics, proposal writing and/or marketing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM Software
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex information to various levels of stakeholders


Licenses/Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain Railroad Certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.

A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $56,497.60 - $70,622.00
