Special Programs Manager, Office of the Division Superintendent (One Year Only)

Gatehouse Administration Center

Description

Assists the Division Superintendent in monitoring and managing day-to-day operations and coordination of activities and services related to the departments and offices within the Division; ensures effective liaison, appropriate confidentiality, and coordination on matters related to administration, management, and operations; represents the Division Superintendent and provides leadership and direction for special projects that may have an operational or organizational impact; provides direction and insight by coordinating the development of presentations, publications, and organizational and financial analyses.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, communications, education or a related field.
  • Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in supporting or leading business operations in a project management or similar capacity for a mid-large sized organization.
  • Knowledge of PreK-12 educational systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles of project management.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and legislation.
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills.
  • Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building.
  • Skill in customer service and customer relations.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management to facilitate change, implement strategy, and accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to quickly analyze problems and to recommend workable solutions including the planning and implementation of those solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to include the ability to make effective presentations to diverse audiences.
Preferred
  • Master's degree.
  • K-12 educational operations experience.

Salary Range

$111,845 - $170,147
