Department Summary

The Roche Pathology Lab Development team is a dynamic and innovative department specializing in the convergence of biomedical engineering and reagent development. We are dedicated to transforming cutting-edge scientific research into practical, global pathology solutions that significantly enhance patient care. This internship position is located in Tucson, on-site.

The Opportunity

  • Hands-on experience utilizing fundamental lab skills, data analysis, and scientific principles.

  • Contribute to the development and commercialization of innovative in vitro diagnostic automated systems.

  • Engage in problem-solving, solution ideation, and assist in the execution of methods and procedures.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Required)

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors:

  • Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field.

Required Skills:

  • Basic lab skills.

  • Data analysis.

  • A solid understanding of scientific principles and methods.

  • Analytical & problem solving skills.

  • Organization and time management.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is $22.00-$28.00 hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
