The Specialty Sales Consultant-Market Development is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals' products, and the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned targeted call plan. The SSC is an integral part of the commercial field team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The SSC will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals' marketing strategies and tactics to achieve short-term and long-term objectives within a developing market. This position is within The Sleep Business Unit, reporting directly to a Regional Sales Manager. States include NC, SC and VA The Specialty Sales Consultant-Market Development will:
Educate physicians and other health care professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals products and disease education in Sleep Medicine by providing the most current information about disease state and the approved indications for the company's products. Achieve sales forecasts and targets. Execute call plans for HCP engagement utilizing different approaches to include in-person calls, virtual calls, and incorporating several multi-channel/digital platforms to create customer engagement opportunities. Prepare a business plan and territory tactical plan for an assigned list of targets across a large geographical territory. Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with the company's policies, regulatory and legal requirements Analyze the assigned target list to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes and any marked differences from national trends. Implement approved business plans within established timelines. Establish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other health care professionals identified in business plans Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company's ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies and procedures Comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, OIG guidelines, and all other applicable federal and state regulations Perform all activities within allocated budget
Essential Qualifications for the Specialty Sales Consultant-Market Development:
Strong self-motivation and ability to work through adversity in a new and developing market Experience in the execution of product launches in new and developing markets Effective use of multi-channel digital platforms and the ability to sell through virtual platforms such as Zoom/Teams. Identify and build relationships with office stakeholders and influencers in order to improve call points Ability to generate improving call access in targeted accounts that have restricted call access policies Effective use of all company provided resources to support product and disease state education, including promotional speaker programs and disease roundtable programs. Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and strong planning and organizational skills are required Work with cross functional partners such as MSL, Managed Market and Access and Reimbursement teams to compliantly meet the needs of physicians, health care professionals, and patients Strong Territory Management skills to support effective actions plan over a large geographic area. Ability to effectively learn and build product knowledge competency with pharmaceutical product(s); competitor product(s); and applicable disease states Understanding of payer landscape, and the ability to discuss managed care criteria for a high value specialty product, desired Experience in the planning and execution with push and pull through strategies of new products in a live and/or virtual setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Healthcare/Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred, not required Ability to effectively learn and build product knowledge competency with pharmaceutical product(s); competitor product(s); and applicable disease states Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, and strong planning and organizational skills are required Self-motivation and ability to excel in a team environment Ability to travel to up to 75% in order to meet territorial requirements

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $116,800.00 - $175,200.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
