Role Summary: As an Associate Data Scientist within the Data & Analytics Office, you'll be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across Church & Dwight. As an internal consultant, you will collaborate with diverse business units to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, leveraging data science and advanced analytics to deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Insight Generation: Utilize predictive modeling, data mining, and advanced analytics techniques to uncover meaningful patterns and trends within our vast data sets.
- Collaborative Consulting: Partner with various business units to understand their needs, gather user requirements, and translate them into data products and solutions.
- Actionable Outcomes: Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations that inform business strategies and drive operational improvements.
- Data Storytelling: Communicate complex analytical findings in a compelling and easily understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights lead to informed decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cloud technologies to continuously enhance our analytic capabilities.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred but a Bachelor's degree (BS) with 2 or more years of experience is acceptable
- Analytical Expertise: Strong foundation in data science methodologies, including predictive modeling, data mining, and machine learning.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical results into business context and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders across various functions.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and challenges, with the creativity to develop innovative solutions
