Job Title: Software Developer IV

SUMMARY
Next Generation Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations - The customer mission aims to build communities of Innovators to generate innovative solutions to national security problems to support DoD, Intelligence Community, and other government organizations. Create new opportunities for national security service by building models of service that account for generational and cultural differences between the military, academic, and venture communities and providing flexible pathways to official service within the DoD.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide team and technical leadership in the designing, developing, documenting, testing, debugging and maintenance of hardware or software based CNO capabilities.
* Apply knowledge of security concepts and networks to their work, while effectively communicating project status to leadership and customers.
* Ensure compliance with software standards.
* SME position that will supervise and mentor subordinate ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* Bachelor's degree in IT-related discipline and 12 years
* Equivalences: High School + 16 yrs experience
* Associates + 14 yrs experience
* Master's + 10 yrs experience
* PhD + Eight (8) yrs experience
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
* Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming, low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g., Windows, Unix, Mobile, Network devices), and networking (TCP/IP) and socket level programming.
Preferred Skills
* CNO capability development experience.
* Software Analysis/Reverse Engineering experience.
* Understanding of assembly programming concepts.
* Unit Test experience.
* Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible).
* Relevant industry standard certifications such as Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer (PCEP) or C++ Certified Professional Programmer Certification (CPP).
* Experience with CI/CD pipeline/DevSecOps development
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
* Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
* Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
