SUMMARY:

The Site Lead will be responsible for overall success of the security program for their assigned installation. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of Guard Services including the associated administrative functions; including but not limited to the conduct, performance, appearance, coordinating training, and scheduling of all assigned personnel. The Site Lead will inspect employees to ensure they are fit for duty and are in compliance with all established dress and appearance standards, and have in their possession all required weapons, ammunition, equipment, and credentials. Additionally, the Site Lead is responsible for interacting and coordinating all activities, complaints, incidents, and deviations of established procedures with the Director of Security Services, Union Representatives (if applicable), and the local Government Security representative. Applicants selected will be subject to a background/security investigation and must be drug free and remain drug free during period of employment

This position reports directly to the Director of Security Services, Tatitlek Federal Services, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Daily management of all clerical/administrative support functions.
  • Monitor performance, timecards, leave and training needs.
  • Manage/Supervise assigned personnel:
    • Responsible for making recommendations regarding the hiring, evaluating, counseling employees; this includes recommending termination
    • Responsible for the professional development/mentoring of subordinates to maximize the efficiency of the workforce
    • Determine whether to intervene directly, ask for assistance as time permits, keeps situations under control or surveillance and to report the incident or situation to the appropriate authority for handling.
    • Prepare, maintain, and disseminate duty rosters/schedules for workforce
    • Track state Security Licensure status for all assigned employees:
      • Ensure employees have all required licensure, certifications, and qualifications prior to allow employees to performing duties
      • Ensure employee complete all required training to maintain state Security Licensure
  • Responsible for all assigned Property
    • Vehicle Fleet: Ensure proper records, maintenance, and inspections are conducted/maintained for all assigned vehicles
      • Report any issue/damage to Director of Security Services
    • Weapons/Equipment: Maintain proper records, control, and serviceability
      • Report any issue/damage to Director of Security Services
  • Responsible for conducting/documenting Quality Control Audits/Inspections (of all shifts/employees) and reporting any deficiencies to Director of Security Services
  • May be required to hold any Company Security Licensure required to perform Security Operations

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • May require occasional travel.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to perform all required guard services duties.

Experience:

  • Possess experience in security or law enforcement operations in the Armed Forces/military police or civilian security operations including supervisory/leader experience.
  • Experience should include three (3) years of daily management of clerical/administrative support.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual's reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act
  • Must be 21 years of age to be armed.
  • Be a citizen of the United States.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license (all positions herein may require the use of a motor vehicle).
  • Must have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years. Drug testing and screening may be conducted prior to hiring an employee.
  • Annual drug testing may conducted.
  • Possess any/all required State Security Guard licenses/permits
  • Obtain/Maintain Government approval

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to accept and respond to new emergent and unique project task requirements.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and succinctly both in writing and verbally to co-workers, team members, internal department groups and personnel as well as outside entities to include other departments.

  • Employees must be able to stand for prolonged periods in performance of their gate guard duty.
  • Shall be free from any communicable disease.
  • Shall possess binocular vision, correctable to 20/20 (Snellen) and shall not be colorblind.
  • Shall be capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 20 feet without benefit of artificial hearing devices

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is typically performed in both an uncontrolled and controlled environment; as such, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
