Position summary: The Facilities/CM department is searching for a Construction Manager - Project Manager (CM-PM) to perform duties in Memphis, TN. The candidate shall have the capability to perform supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management and program budgeting, and overall project management activities, written and oral communications and coordination efforts as required.

Essential functions and responsibilities



  • The CM-PM shall provide EHRM project construction management and shall provide decisive direction regarding business, technical and project management involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities.
  • The CM-PM shall be responsible for the overall management, in terms of technical quality, cost and schedule.
  • The CM-PM shall maintain daily progress reports and inspection reports and shall lead the inspection and quality assurance team assigned to projects to ensure timely and effective project oversight.
  • The CM-PM must possess the skillset and competency to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skillsets.

Required Skills

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited architectural/engineering program or 15 years directly related experience
  • 7+ years' experience in management of facility construction projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


Preferred Experience



  • Construction management experience with a focus on medical facilities and EHRM construction.
  • Knowledgeable with CPM scheduling. Experienced with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is preferred
  • Experience working with governmental agencies at the city, county and state levels
  • Knowledgeable in construction testing and inspection requirements


Working Conditions

Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required.
