Position Summary The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing, collaborating, and marketing, with a working understanding of the civil engineering industry or similar industries. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional trustworthiness while working cooperatively and collaboratively with senior executives, STEM subject-matter experts, and other marketing and support staff to best position JMT's brand. This role will require a strong grasp of the English language and demonstrated proficiency as a senior writer and editor. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused while also maintaining a comprehensive plan for implementing communications strategies. This person will be able to train a team of junior and mid-level writers and communicators on better writing and speaking strategies, along with marketing, technical, persuasive, and other versatile forms of communication. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Plain English Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to enhance the writing and accessibility of our content. The ideal candidate should be skilled in creating clear, concise, and accessible writing while overseeing all internal and external communications.
