As a Communications Specialist at Reliable Robotics, you will help share our vision, engage key stakeholders and leadership, and elevate our brand presence in aviation. This is a pivotal role that combines writing, editing, project and event management to enhance Reliable Robotic's communication efforts and company branding. An essential part of the role is developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with company goals and ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
Responsibilities
The Communications Specialist will play a critical role in crafting and disseminating Reliable's message to a broad audience of customers, investors, policymakers and candidates. This role will oversee all aspects of communication strategy from social media, public relations, website management, photo shoots, video production, conference participation, crisis communications and special projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that thrives in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Additionally, the Communications Specialist will own writing press releases and responding to media inquiries, further enhancing Reliable Robotics' public relations efforts. This position requires strong project management and editorial skills.

Basic Success Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 6-8 years experience in corporate communications or public relations
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics
  • Experience with media relations, social media strategy, and content marketing
Preferred Success Criteria
  • Familiarity with design and video editing tools is a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, executives, and marketing teams
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry or emerging technologies is highly desirable

The Communications Specialist will report to the CEO and work closely with other members of the executive team and business development team, as the primary lead for communications across the organization.
This role will be located at our facility in Mountain View, California.
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 to $195,000/annual salary + cash and stock option awards + benefits. At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity. In addition to base compensation, Reliable Robotics offers stock options, employee medical, 401k contribution, great co-workers and a casual work environment.
This position requires access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls. An offer of employment will be contingent upon the applicant's capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws.
