As the Sr. Proposal Specialist, you will be accountable for proposal activities that support selling efforts, consistent with ACTIVE's strategic plan and goals. The position will participate in the overall proposal process, which includes win and proposal strategy planning, content development, internal review, production, submittal, and debriefs. The Sr. Proposal Specialist collaborates with Sales, cross-functional partners and other team members to prepare responsive, compelling proposal responses. Responsibilities:
- Manage the proposal process, including writing, editing, producing and delivering on-time, compelling and accurate proposals.
- Interact closely with internal departments and external SMEs for accurate data and submissions.
- Reviews RFP, RFI, RFQ and questionnaire (security, functionality, etc.) documents to ensure that the team understands client requirements clearly.
- Owns the proposal planning process, including kick-off meetings, review of client requirements, development of proposal outline, and creation of timeline/assignments.
- Develops, edits, and implements templates for proposals. Quality assurance checks must be provided to ensure that all document deliverables are compliant with RFP requirements.
- Conduct post-proposal debriefing analysis, research what went right/wrong, and provide feedback to the proposal team.
- Track and measure RFP results, win/loss data and other pertinent information to help inform future proposals
- Develop and manage boilerplate libraries. Work with subject matter experts throughout the company to ensure boilerplate is accurate and up to date.
- Organize all content and answers in a designated library. Enhance boilerplate answers as new features and functionality are added, and improve the design and layout of our responses.
- Bring suggestions and potential improvements pro-actively to the table.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp.
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and complex environment
- Experience with Salesforce.com
- Proven experience in managing the full proposal lifecycle and a track record of results.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Strong editing/writing skills: thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, and composition, as well as oral communication.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well with professionals from various backgrounds.
- Ability to deliver quality work that consistently meets requirements and deadlines.
- A focus on teamwork - the ability to continually listen, collaborate, and communicate among colleagues, internal customers, and partners.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal capabilities.
- Attention to detail and consistency in work product.
- Preferred experience with local government and/or education
- Preferred Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP)
- Practitioner Certification
