GENERAL FUNCTION

The Data Analyst will provide critical insights into the set-up of business configuration network and agreement data. The role will be responsible for designing, executing and supporting routine and ad hoc analysis and projects. The Data Analyst will develop solutions and processes required to meet internal reporting and research needs.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Provider Network data integrity projects.
  • Develop tools to drive quality and continuous improvement into the provider network agreement team's configuration activities.
  • Create a database of the provider contracted fee schedules to capture the contract pricing source of truth to be utilized in auditing agreement pricing configuration.
  • Develop a comparison tool to evaluate source data against agreement data assigned to the provider.
  • Develop a standard Data and Analytics library of reports to move current SQL queries into Business Object reports for Provider Data, Network, and Contract assignment.
  • Develop a Contract Agreement Library that can be used to identify values for core contracted services, medical fee schedules, and network schedules.
  • Performs complex analytics, data engineering and automation tasks and projects, ensuring standards are met for accuracy, completeness, quality and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Business Configuration leaders to support data integrity initiatives and resolve issue escalations.
  • Identify, prioritize and evaluate opportunities for new projects or capabilities, and continuous improvement of existing projects or capabilities.
  • Assist with knowledge management initiatives by understanding, documenting, and maintaining data definitions, reporting requirements and performance standards.
  • Provide support for routine and priority tasks and projects as needed.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in an analytical/technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with health provider and network data elements.
  • Experience with Claim adjudication and provider reimbursements.
  • 3+ years of experience focused on data analytics
  • Experience with cleansing, integrating and analyzing large and complex data sets
  • Experience with data visualization development, such as Qlik, Tableau or Power BI
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel and programming in R, Python or SAS
  • Strong balance of business, analytics and technology acumen
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork and project management skills
  • High level of accountability, motivation, learning agility and attention to detail


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience with business or health informatics, data architecture and pipeline/ETL
  • Experience with Facets in a managed care setting
  • Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare programs and reporting
  • Experience with payment integrity data mining and fraud analytics
  • Working knowledge of statistics and machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
