The Associate Global Product Manager, Hospital Software will assist in the product management, global marketing activities and portfolio direction for the Transfusion Management franchise. Supporting the Director Global Portfolio Marketing and key stakeholders, the APM will contribute to the product lifecycle activities, market analysis and vendor/partner relationship management efforts.

The Global Product Management team works closely with cross-functional teams including; R&D, regional sales & marketing, quality & regulatory, software support & field services, and finance to deliver software products that meet the needs of healthcare providers and transfusion laboratories.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth in product management and global marketing in a regulated healthcare IT and medical device environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead product lifecycle management activities, including execution of product release activities and end-of-support for a global product line encompassing software, equipment and peripherals.
  • Manage partner equipment and industry software requirements to implement into product roadmap.
  • Collect market intelligence and analyze market trends, customer feedback and competitive insights to understand customer needs and industry trends.
  • Assist in defining the global product roadmap and strategy for transfusion laboratory software solutions including market modeling and financial budgets.
  • Participate in cross-functional core team meetings to ensure milestones are met and serve as a key point of contact for internal cross functional teams.
  • Assist in defining product requirements and feature prioritization with market and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders and global customers to define go-to-market plans including value propositions and messaging, training materials and customer-facing content. Work closely with downstream marketing for region-specific programs.
  • Engage with customers, attend trade shows and build relationships with user advocates and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Support opportunity modeling and financial analysis for new technologies and product enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in product management, marketing, or a related field within healthcare IT, medical devices or life sciences.
  • Familiarity with medical device software and software product lifecycle management is highly preferred.
  • Hands on practical experience working in a medical setting, clinical laboratory and/or transfusion medicine preferred.

Travel Expectations:

  • Regular 20-30%, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Medical Technology or a related field required. Advanced degree (e.g., SBB, MBA) is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to ambulate is required.

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
  • Exposure to blood.
