Summary: Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner Responsibilities: 1.Preparation identification positioning protection and radiographic technique Demonstrates competence in the preparation identification positioning protection and radiographic technique of all imaging procedures. 2. Computer System Uses computer system (RIS/HIS) to document accurate and timely patient/procedure information to ensure efficient quality patient care. 3. Preparation/Set-Up Assists physicians in fluoroscopic/interventional procedures and prepares contrast as needed. Ensures that imaging rooms are properly set up and functional before physician begins procedure 4. Technique Employee uses proper techniques that minimize radiation exposure to self patients the general public and other health care personnel. Modifies care according to patient*s age.
