The EHS Clinic nurse is responsible for application of nursing principles in assessing and promoting the health and safety of the organization's healthcare personnel. This involves prevention, recognition, and treatment of illness and injury. It requires skills and expertise in communicable disease investigation and follow-up, environmental health, physical assessment, rehabilitation, and human relations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2-3 years prior clinical nursing practice
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin (or applied for licensure if reciprocity is required)
  • CPR certification
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments
  • Possess initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strive to be the best, and work continuously to improve performance and exceed expectations
  • Have pride in finding new and better ways to enhance quality of care
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever changing environment with multiple competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year prior experience working in Employee Health, Occupational Health, or Public Health setting
  • Certification as an Occupational Health nurse (COHN or COHN-S)
  • Certification in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
  • Proven ability to perform phlebotomy
  • Familiarity with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines related to health care personnel
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration's (OSHA) regulatory standards
  • Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act as it relates to job accommodations
