Academic Clinical Nephrologist

UMass Memorial Health, UMass Chan School of Medicine

Qualifications:

1. Board certified or eligible in Nephrology and have completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Nephrology

2. MD or an MD-PhD, and Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

3. Must be able to obtain full licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

4. This position supports H1B visa candidates but cannot support candidates with J-1 visas.

5. Academic appointment as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at UMass Chan Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Applicants must be committed to teaching as a requirement for this position.

6. Outstanding clinical acumen who will support the clinical practice, carry out his or her own research activities, and contribute to trainee education.

7. The successful candidate will have opportunities and support for research and education, but a full-time clinician would also be considered. Bench space and lab tech support will be available for those with basic interests and coordinator support will be available for those with clinical research interests. UMass Memorial and UMass Chan Medical School is well recognized for outstanding achievements in research, and a well-developed infrastructure for clinical and translational research is available.

8. The Division and DOM has a collegial, collaborative environment with team-based nephrology consultative hospital and ambulatory services with residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers
