Sourcing Manager, Manufacturing sourcing

Our Role

As a Sourcing Manager at Fiskars, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality products, services, and materials. Your primary goal will be to deliver these in a timely and cost-efficient manner, while aligning with the company's business objectives. This role will require you to manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure sustainability in procurement practices. You will drive innovation to optimize supplier performance and achieve organizational goals. Sourcing Manager will have responsibility of the following categories: CAPEX (production lines and machinery), MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), facility management, energy procurement (electricity and gas), and other critical services essential to factory operations.

The role will require some ability to travel and occasionally work across global time-zones. This position is based in either Espoo, Finland or Middleton, US and reports to Global Sourcing Manager, Services & Logistics. The role is full-time and is hybrid.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FISKARS

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Landed Cost (TLC), while identifying cost-saving opportunities through market and spend analysis.

  • Supplier Management: Evaluate, select, onboard, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance compliance and implementing improvement plans as needed.

  • Contract & Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and NDAs; collaborate with legal teams to draft and finalize supplier agreements and manage contract renewals.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., factories, marketing, finance) to align sourcing activities with business objectives and ensure seamless communication.

  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks-including cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory challenges-and ensure all sourcing activities adhere to company policies and legal standards.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Implement sustainable sourcing practices to support corporate ESG goals and circular economy initiatives.

  • Cost Management & Reporting: Monitor spending, drive cost optimization initiatives, and prepare regular reports on sourcing performance and supplier outcomes.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field (Master's preferred) with 3-5 years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management (indirect/CAPEX sourcing is a plus).

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with proven supplier engagement expertise.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, backed by advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or equivalent) and data analysis.

  • Deep understanding of sourcing methodologies, spend analytics, global trade compliance, ethical sourcing, and data privacy legislation.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to translate business goals into actionable sourcing strategies and drive sustainability and innovation initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), with the ability to work within global networks and teams.
