Position Description

  • This position requires strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge in the areas relating to energy efficiency, renewable energy, loans, interconnection practices, Energy Orbit, CC&B, DocuSign, ECM, FIS, and Online Utility Exchange. This position supports both commercial and residential programs but has direct responsibility for managing the loan program and managing the solar programs. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure timely, accurate loan decisions, Solar rebate processing, providing financial, research, technical support, and analysis to groups in developing cost-effective energy efficiency, renewable energy, and customer service programs. Manage the Debt Set Off Program for the Smart Energy Loan program. Cultivates and maintains professional relationships with Trade Allies and Santee Cooper personnel. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Directs the work of junior analysts. Works closely with Legal, Corporate Communications, Engineering, Rates, and Billing departments to accomplish solar program goals. Is knowledgeable of technological changes in the industry as pertains to job objectives. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. A strong emphasis is placed on continuous improvements in service delivery, quality work, and excellent customer satisfaction.


  • Essential Job Tasks:
  • Works independently to manage, administer, coordinate, promote and analyze the loan program including trade ally coordination.
  • Ensures that all procedures comply with company policy and good business practices.
  • Evaluates loan applications and approve/deny loans.
  • Reviews past due, bankruptcy, and foreclosure status of outstanding loan customers and coordinate collection action.
  • Reports participation and activities related to solar initiatives by completing company reports consistently, on time, and accurately.
  • Plans and/or coordinates educational workshops for internal and external customers to promote quality installation of energy efficient measures and to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Works independently to maintain relationships with trade allies and retailers through periodic meetings and visits.
  • Ensures their program promotional items are up-to-date and that they are in compliance with program requirements.
  • Understands the trade allies sales and business process and promote rebate promotions in the sales process.
  • Prepares, analyzes and recognizes trends of reports for energy savings and activities related to Santee Cooper Energy Efficiency Programs.
  • Participates in educating internal/external customers on the services Santee Cooper has to offer.
  • Participates in employee development opportunities by participating in events, presentations, conducting presentations to internal/external groups, and school career days.
  • Participates in internal and external training. Employee development opportunities may include internal training courses, external training courses, cross-training with Residential and Commercial Energy Advisors, and webinars.
  • Promotes safety awareness. Support duplicate management and timely rebate processing for all Solar programs.
  • Provides Electronic Content Management administrative support for Conservation & Energy Efficiency department that provides accurate and timely information and adheres to the Corporate Retention Policy.
  • Supports the Green Power program.
  • Adds/drops participants as requested.
  • Reviews Green Power participants, monitor drop-offs and reassign when appropriate.
  • Analyzes Green Power reports for accurate reporting and grouping of FID numbers.

    Financial Analyst III
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Math + 5 years experience.
  • Ability to apply advanced financial, economic, accounting, mathematical and statistical principles and thorough knowledge of personal computers and/or programming.


  • Compensation Information:
    $82,520 - $103,140 (min. - mid.)

    Financial Analyst II
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Math + 2 years experience.
  • Ability to apply advanced financial, economic, accounting, mathematical and statistical principles and thorough knowledge of personal computers and/or programming.


  • Compensation Information:
    $66,390 - $82,980 (min. - mid.)

    Financial Analyst I
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Math.
  • Ability to apply advanced financial, economic, accounting, mathematical and statistical principles and thorough knowledge of personal computers and/or programming.


  • Compensation Information:
    $53,400 - $66,730 (min. - mid.)
