Qualifications:

TEACHING EXCELLENCE: While a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in biology or a closely related field is preferred, candidates with a master's degree and five years of experience in undergraduate science education will also be considered. An active research program is not required, but research into science pedagogy or basic science research adaptable to the inclusion of undergraduate students is desirable.

TEACHER SCHOLAR: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in biology or a closely related field. The candidate should have teaching experience as the 'instructor of record' for one or more undergraduate courses. Candidates for the teacher scholar track should be prepared to articulate a research plan that is adaptable to the inclusion of undergraduate students.
