Location: Austin, TX 78702

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr. with benefits

Duration: 3+ months (Contract)

Work hours: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM (Mon - Fri)

Job Description:

  • The Support Specialist, Revenue and Fares reports directly to the Program Manager, Revenue. This position will manage the encoding and programming of transit cards, ensure accurate data entry related to transit cards encoding and programming, coordinate community engagement activities, and perform additional tasks to support the Revenue and Fares team.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the encoding and programming of transit cards to ensure they are correctly set up for use by riders. This includes troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues related to card programming.
  • Accurately enter and update data related to the appropriate databases and systems. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all records.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community engagement activities to inform and gather feedback from the public regarding service changes and impacts. Effectively communicate with diverse community groups.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the Fares and Revenue team. This may include assisting with special projects, providing administrative support, and collaborating with other departments.
  • Continuously monitor email inbox and assist with troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Provide timely responses and support to ensure smooth communication and resolution of problems.
  • Review data being entered from source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate discrepancies, fill gaps in incomplete records, and resolve other problems.
  • Support Client's Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff follows safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and ensures safety and security concerns are reported.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible office support and administrative experience, including two (2) years of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and knowledge in or ability to quickly learn other computer applications.
