Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Managing Director for the Workplace Justice Lab@RU at the School of Management and Labor Relations.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Works with the Faculty Director of the Workplace Justice Lab @RU in the School of Management and Labor Relations to lead strategic development, growth and planning for the Center.
  • Oversees the setting and implementation of goals and provides daily leadership, direction, and coordination for the Center.
  • Works with key staff to coordinate strategic communication, fundraising, training, and staff team building and management.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Social Work, Public Policy, Labor Studies, Political Science or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of management and administrative principles and practices.
  • Five (5) years of relevant professional experience in administrative or similar function.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Experience in labor or community organizing.
  • Experience in project management and grant management (grant writing and reporting).
  • Experience in fundraising.
  • Experience and comfort with communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MA/S or MBA (Planning, Social Work, Public Policy, Labor Studies, Political Science or other related).
  • Experience working with worker justice organizations.
  • Experience working on labor standards and or civil rights enforcement.
  • Experience with training and partnership development.
