This is an LTE Positon.

Position Summary:

The Radiology Tech Aide works in the hospital setting and serves as a valued member of the Medical Imaging team. The tech aide will be responsible for assisting the Radiologic Tech before, during and after the image exam. He or she cares for the patient transferring them to and from the department, answering questions, room set up and cleaning, preparing the patient for the imaging exam and making sure that the patients are comfortable and at ease during their exams.

Education and Training Require
d:

a-High school graduate or equivalent.

a-BLS certified.

a-Must currently be enrolled in a Radiologic program and completed the first year of education.


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

a-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

a-Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families.

a-Ability to handle multiple tasks.

a-Ability to use computers, fax machines, and possess proper phone skills.

a-Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

a-Epic experience is preferred, but not required.


Physical Requirements:

a-Physical Demands:

aFrequently stand, walk and sit.

aFrequently lift/carry up to 25 pounds when moving patients or supplies.

aOccasionally may be required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds when moving patients or supplies.

aFrequently required to push or pull up to 10 pounds when positioning patients.

aOccasionally required to bend and twist when positioning patients and equipment.

aFrequently required to reach overhead.

aFrequently involved with using levers, knobs, switches, etc. to use equipment in radiology.
