The Director of Real Estate and Workplace oversees PTC's locations across North America including PTC's headquarters located in Boston's vibrant Seaport district. Primary responsibilities include the oversight of the day-to-day operations, budget, strategic planning, projects, and the direct supervision of a team of Workplace Experience professionals responsible for providing best in class environments and experiences for employees through creative office design and service-oriented operations. This position oversees all building projects including construction, design and relocations ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope. Responsibilities:
- Leverage and partner with Site Leaders and/or Workplace Experience Managers to provide leadership and knowledge to sustain consistencies across the NA office portfolio
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs for each location
- Coordinate internal resources (IT, Security, Marketing & HR) and third parties/vendors to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
- Oversee all Facilities Workplace Experience related OPEX and CAPEX planning, budgeting and related management tasks ensuring adherence to plan
- Manage subtenant requests and services
- Direct Workplace vendors and professional service providers, contracts and management. Act as owner's representative in the management of architects, engineers, contractors, permit expeditors, etc.
- Ensure that vendor partners operate as an extension of the Real Estate & Workplace Experience team while meeting all contractual service level agreements.
- Assist other departments with other office-wide initiatives and cultural events

- Team player, able to identify and implement cross-functional opportunities for improvement
- Excellent time management skills to meet contractual deadlines and simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and requests.
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others at all levels, including senior leadership, and across organizations.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with a sense of urgency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Project, Power Point, Excel, Bluebeam and BMS systems
Experience:
- Fostering effective teamwork by mentoring and creating team values and goals
- Sustainability and ESG Data Collection
- High degree of professional integrity and trustworthiness to work with often sensitive/confidential information cross-functionally, with peers, management and senior leadership
- Data-driven approach to decision-making, analyzing space utilization and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a corporate environment focused on real estate or Workplace management
- Proven knowledge in office construction and project management
