Computer Engineer III

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced program with DCS Corp's U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group located in Warren, MI. As an experienced Software Engineer, you will work alongside our U.S. Army Software Engineering Center customer, applying your knowledge and skills by providing technical engineering services that support Ground Vehicles and the emerging technologies.

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering and 5+ years of experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Required Skills:

Communication skills required to interface with systems and software development engineers as well as customer.

Experience working in environments that apply an engineering approach to software following standard software processes.

Experience in software development using software version control and issue tracking systems.

Able to perform tasks independently based on initial guidance.

Strong C++ skills.

Experience within the Linux environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux Development.

Experience with Atlassian tools, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence.

Git command / repository knowledge.

Desired Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.

Knowledge using Software Tools.

Google Test.

Able to write and perform tests, both unit and system, and debug systems in a lab environment.

Experience with communication methods, i.e. DDS, TCP.

Networking/Wireshark.

Experience using VMWare.
