Job Summary:

This Clinical Research Professional will be supporting the work of Dr. Stacy Fisher. Dr. Fischer's research focuses on palliative/supportive care, which are recruiting, enrolling, and retaining persons with serious cancers. These studies include comparative effectiveness, observational, as well as clinical trial intervention studies with psychedelics. This position will involve working in all aspects of research from screening potential and consenting research participants, conducting study visits, data entry, study reports, coordination and communication related to the research projects as well as tasks related to study start up and ongoing management. This is an open-rank recruitment, which includes hiring at the Entry or Intermediate level. Please be advised that this position is not eligible now or in the future for visa sponsorship. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate to internal and external constituents using variety of modalities.
- Assist with preparation of study reports and annual reviews.
- Assist with all project-related meetings (scheduling, note-taking, agenda development, distribution).
- Contribute to the goals and objectives of Dr. Fischer's research program.
- Enter and update project team's database.
- Follow institutional research policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks related to the operations/conduct of research, including research regulatory management and preparation of IRB documents, study coordination, and investigator meeting planning.
- Collaborate with investigators and research staff at multiple sites to ensure study procedures are performed per protocol.

Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on campus in Aurora, CO and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Entry Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited institution.
Intermediate Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year clinical research or related experience.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. A master's degree in a directly related field from an accredited institution may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of clinical research or related experience.
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).
- Experience with REDCap database.
- Experience with OnCore database.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement while managing multiple projects.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom.
- Strong follow-through skills and ability to proactively identify and solve problems; demonstrated initiative is imperative.
- Ability to maximize retention of study participants.
- Must have a professional demeanor, strong communication skills with the public as well as physicians and co-workers.
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and manage deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: Entry Level: $47,743 - $60,729 Intermediate Level: $51,956 - $66,088 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
