Job Title: Temporary Researcher (Process Development and Manufacturing Associate II)

This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 9-months.




Job Summary:



Temporary Researcher provides direct support of process development (PD) and manufacturing (GMP) activities. Functions include managing process development laboratory and coordinating manufacturing cleanroom operation, environmental health and safety, institutional biosafety, hazardous materials use, disposal and training. Researcher is responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including manufacturing and administrative duties. Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will have the following responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

* Execute recombinant protein manufacturing processes at development, pilot scales and engineering run including buffer, media and solution preparation, fermentation, cell lysis.

* Execute analytical methods for protein characterization including UV-Vis spectroscopy, SDS-PAGE.

* Support operation of the Process Development (PD) laboratory and Manufacturing (GMP) suits including managing chemical and general supply inventory, cleaning glassware, performing lab cleanup, managing EHS waste, and handling document print requests.

* Ensures safety and cGMP compliance in the manufacturing area.

* Support manufacturing activities according to cGMP guidelines, including line clearance, material kitting and solution preparation record.

* Develop and author documentation that supports all manufacturing processes and operations, including but not limited to: Equipment Use Logs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Receiving Inspections.

* Communicate with other departments and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of operations and ensure that equipment and materials are available for use.



Work Location:



Onsite - this role is expected to work full-time onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

* A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry

* 2+ years of research and laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with biologics-based manufacturing process

* Experience with authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Production Records, Raw Material Specifications, Deviation Reports

* Experience working in a cGMP manufacturing setting intended for human use, including work in ISO Class 7 and 8 rooms and ISO Class 5 biosafety cabinets

* Experience operating and maintaining processing equipment

* Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

* Outstanding customer service skills.

* Significant lab, process development and/or manufacturing experience

Anticipated Pay Range:



The hiring rate for this position has been established at $60.00 /hour. The above salary rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Temporary employees are only eligible for sick leave benefits.
