Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Located remote from your home office in the East Coast Region, you will be working hands-on with our engineering customers in the field and helping design products that fit into their applications!
- You'll be working with the Industrial Application Engineering team and reporting to the Fluid Power Field Application Engineering Lead.
- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working with customers on a variety of product applications primarily in our Industrial Replacement market.
- You will help troubleshoot issues that arise with customer products and help design and recommend solutions using Gates products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection fluid power products
- Effectively present technical and product training material to internal and external customers
- Working cooperatively with North American Field Sales, Product Line Managers, and the Marketing Team to achieve organizational success
- Analyzing application requirements, providing failure analysis, selecting components, and making recommendations to meet system requirements
- Troubleshooting any questions customers pose via phone, email, and in-person. Building strong relationships is crucial to success in this role!

ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of progressive engineering experience OR 5-10 years of progressive engineering experience, required.
- Eager to be hands on working with our customers, engineers, sales, and marketing teams!
- Engineering discipline with a focus on Mechanical and Fluid Power systems, preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer personalities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal skills - coupled with the ability to maintain and generate product application literature, media, and technical articles.
- Ability to travel to customers, plants and conferences as required (minimum 50%).
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.
- Power Transmission experience, also preferred
- Proficient in MicroSoft Office products
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
