Location: U.S. (Remote with occasional travel)

Salary: $90K - $130K base salary plus performance-based commissions for on target earnings in the $150K - $250K range

Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of client-facing experience in enterprise sales, ideally within IT products or software solutions.



  • A passion for technology and its transformative power across industries.



  • A proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales quotas in high-value transactions to IT professionals and business decision makers.



  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written). The ability to create technical proposals and present to both technical and business stakeholders.



  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage ambiguity and large workloads while maintaining high attention to detail.



  • Independent worker with a strategic mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.



  • Experience with data protection, migration, or archiving software (i.e., NetApp, Veritas, Rubrik, Cohesity, Komprise, Commvault) is a plus, but candidates with expertise in other enterprise IT solutions are encouraged to apply.



  • University degree required; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) background preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.



  • Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.





Job Overview:

We are seeking an Experienced Technical Sales Professional to help us drive new business and expand existing client relationships. This role will focus on selling our enterprise software solutions to clients across the U.S. and internationally. You'll leverage Starfish's innovative technology, referenceable clients, and top-notch technical and executive teams to meet your goals. This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing company, with the opportunity to drive major business results.



Responsibilities:


  • Represent Starfish Storage at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows, both virtually and in-person, with occasional international travel.



  • Work directly with clients to identify needs in storage lifecycle management (acquiring, migrating, protecting, and archiving data), and map those needs to Starfish software solutions.



  • Lead software evaluations, define use cases, and explore opportunities for customization and integration.



  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, coordinating with technical resources as needed throughout the sales process.



  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, channel partners, and alliance partners.



  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, providing accurate and timely updates via our CRM and other systems.



  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of sales processes, strategies, and client engagement.
