ABOUT THE JOB In Red Bay, we specialize in the production of Long Length Hose, created in all sizes and dimensions Our process starts with raw materials - heated, shaped, and cooled. When finished, our hoses are marked with the Gates logo and shipped to customers around the world. As a Maintenance Technician you will spend most of the day managing preventive maintenance, fixing safety concerns and maintaining the facility. Daily accuracy and productivity of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability. Requirements and Preferred Skills ABOUT YOU Knowledge of machine mechanics, hydraulics, welding and fabrication, operation of machine tools to repair machine components and ability to read prints and drawings. Attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must have regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. The employee must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime before & after regular hours & shifts, as well as on weekends. Communication skills: verbal, written, listening and understanding Experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming and troubleshooting, schematics reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and installation. High level of mechanical aptitude Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.
