Responsibilities
Keysight Technologies Inc. seeks a Support Engineer Supervisor with demonstrated experience in servicing the calibration and repair needs of high-tech customers. You will be supervising a team of technicians and/or engineers while working alongside them to provide calibration and repair support on customer units. This fulltime position located in Roseville California, will be responsible for service delivery excellence, technical performance, customer satisfaction, and quality/regulatory compliance for the Spectrum Analyser areas. The ability to grow capacity and capability while driving productivity improvements and cost reductions is paramount. This position requires proven leadership abilities and strong people management skills to effectively lead a growing, multi-shift operation of technicians/engineers. Effective communication and partnering skills across internal teams as well as with external customers is a must. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the assigned personnel. The responsibilities of the Support Engineer Supervisor will include:
- Oversee calibration and repair services of multi-OEM test & measurement instrumentation.
- Provide customer-focused leadership for the Spectrum Analyzer areas.
- Closely manage team performance to achieve or exceed defined customer commitments for Ship-on-Time and Turn Around Time.
- Drive continuous improvement of all operational process efficiencies to maximize gross margins.
- Test, calibrate/validate and repair Keysight or Multi-OEM electronic test equipment or analytical instruments, products and modules to maintain functionality and accuracy.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate electronic precision measurement equipment and calibration laboratory reference standards.
- Interpret customer requirements and potential needs to meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Manage internal processes to meet ISO 17025 and AS9100 quality requirements and other Keysight-defined technical and quality system requirements.
- Actively support higher level key initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associates in Electronic Technology (prefer Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering) or equivalent experience required.
- A minimum of 10 years working experience electronic measurements
- Experience managing a calibration and repair team for T&M instrumentation.
- Solves complex problems requiring breadth/depth of knowledge of repair, calibration, metrology principles, repair and preventative maintenance techniques equipment and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership in complex technical areas.
- Proven track record of managing multiple tasks, projects, activities & deadlines successfully.
- Thorough knowledge of metrology principles and measurement uncertainties.
- Strong leadership skills biased toward communications, employee development, and management-by-objectives.
- Demonstrated track record of maintaining strong customer relationships with supporting metrics.
- Familiarity with LEAN and Six Sigma to drive process improvements and efficiency gains is desired
- Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating plans & objectives to a technical team.
- Excellent communications skills & experience in building relationships across organizations.
- Have experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electronic precision measurement equipment and calibration standards.
Pay Range: USD $76,680.00 - USD $127,790.00 Year The level of this role will be based on applicable experience, education, and skills; most offers will be be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range listed.
