COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Our base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The starting base salary range for this position is listed below. Actual starting salary will be based on a variety of factors including experience, skill set, education, performance, license/certifications, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Starting Base Annual Salary Range:
$52,780 - $78,375

Position Summary
The Maintenance & Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery on various production lines to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
- Follow standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
- Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on daily basis with manufacturing equipment, machinery, testers, and safety systems.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Document and log equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts. Update work instructions as necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cooperate with manufacturing support, purchasing, inventory control, and production management in implementing solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Provide training and technical support to production staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Order supplies necessary to facilitate and complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Promote an atmosphere that facilitates open and effective communication within the department.
- Ensure all ISO quality and environmental standards and process procedures are maintained.
- Able to work under moderate supervision.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of technical experience in electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment or similar area.
- Education: Highschool Diploma or GED required. Associates degree required.
- Certifications: Electrical, Mechanical, Soldering, Wiring or similar certifications are an asset.
- Position-specific Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
- Computer/Technological: Professional competence with Microsoft Office, SAP, Fiix or other PM software.
- Language: Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
- Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, full time; be on-call on some weekends (if required).
- General Working Conditions: Be able to flexible schedules and hours during both 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Travel: Minimal travel to customer sites and vendors if needed.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and sit, stand, walk frequently and lift up to 50 pounds.
