Design & Construction Management

Job Description

  • Prepare bidding documents, construction contracts, consultant agreements, amendments and change orders for design and construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction project managers to create, modify and finalize contract documents such as Division 1 documents, bid advertisements, contracts, change orders, bonds, insurance, supplier diversity documentation, contractor bids, and other construction-related documents
  • Ensure adherence of University Policies and procedures for contracts, agreements and procurement processes
  • Represent unit and communicate with administrators, outside agencies, consultants, contractors and vendors
  • Participate on committees for UM System that develop administrative policies and procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction contracts related experience
  • Business or accounting related experience
  • Three years of University Facilities Planning and Development contracts and agreements initiation, coordination, and execution experience required.
  • Two years of Trimble project management software contracts experience
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.50-$26.34 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
