Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Access Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in patient registration, insurance verification, and prior authorizations. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities: * Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. * Accurately register patients, collect demographic and insurance information. * Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as required. * Submit request to insurance companies and providing clinical documentation to support request * Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with clinical staff. * Handle patient inquiries and provide information on hospital services. * Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. * Process patient payments and provide financial counseling as needed. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care. Qualifications: * Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient access, registration, or a related position. * Experience with insurance verification is required. Prior Authorizations experience highly preferred. * Working knowledge of a managed care environment, third party reimbursement, hospital and community services and hospital and health care policies * EPIC experience preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent Details: * Hybrid Schedule * Pay: $18 - $20/hr. based on related experience. * Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered. * Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
