ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Erosion Control Foreman is responsible for managing on-site erosion control, pumping of water and dewatering plans and tasks while leading crew members in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient deployment and productivity of work crews
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities
- Ensures environmental regulations are adhered to on project
- Ensures corrective actions are taken in a timely manner when eroded areas are identified
- Ensures temporary erosion control devices are installed and removed correctly and to the approval of regulations
- Knowledgeable regarding erosion control in all aspects of construction process
- Performs inspections and reports on erosion control needs and status of previously installed devices
- Provide maintenance to all eroded areas and previously installed erosion control devices immediately following rain or thawing on the project
- Ensure mid-term and long-term plans are carried through to short-term plans and executed
- Develop and implement dewatering plan, systems, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with permitting requirements for continuous operation
- Assist in determining equipment specifications for upcoming projects
- Understand dewatering and water pumping machinery needs with ability to fabricate parts as needed to assure timely start-up/ repairs of equipment.
- Maintain many field sites within the project and their associated equipment
- Direct, mentor, coach and upskill the erosion control crew in their roles
- Participate in the review and improvement of dewatering and cost performance
- Control expenditures and cost production by minimizing equipment downtime through properly executed preventative maintenance and repairs
- Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
- Report all incidents and hazards to the Supervisor and the Safety department

- Problem-solving abilities
- Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications
- Decision-making skills to ensure that the project is completed on time and on budget
- Leadership skills for providing clear direction to team members
Requirements
Experience/Qualifications:
- One year of experience in an erosion control supervisory capacity preferred and at least 3 years of heavy equipment operation or equivalent combination
- Heavy/Civil experience required.
- Experience with overburden or road construction is strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
- Noise levels in the work environment is usually loud
- Ability to wear and work in personnel protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ankle-supporting safety-toed work boots and a safety vest
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
