As the Director of Inside Sales, you will lead a team of Remote Area Managers who are dedicated to identifying, developing, and maximizing opportunities in open/vacant markets and underserved areas. Your innovative approach, coaching skills, and leadership experience will be instrumental in driving sales growth, market penetration. Outcome and Activities:
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the Remote Area Manager team, motivating and guiding them to achieve their targets and objectives. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive strategies to penetrate and capitalize on target markets/territories and underserved areas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Sales Performance Management: Monitor and analyze sales metrics, team performance, and market data to assess and improve Remote Area Manager team's strategies and tactics. Set ambitious sales targets and ensure the team is on track to meet or exceed them.
- Coaching and Training: Mentor and coach Remote Area Managers to enhance their selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques. Implement training programs to continuously develop the team's capabilities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities and challenges. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adapt Remote Area Manager team strategies accordingly.
- Customer Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders both internal and external. Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction to build team and company brand loyalty and increase market share.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales at the National, Regional and District levels.
- Innovation and Adaptability: Encourage a culture of innovation and agility within the team to gain a competitive edge in the target markets.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Mentor and coach direct reports effectively by identifying performance and knowledge gaps and dealing with unsatisfactory performance promptly and appropriately.
- Run effective meetings to produce and deliver logical and concise agendas.
- Demonstrate the job specific knowledge and technical skills to complete performance objectives.
- Demonstrate effective leadership by showing how to strategize and plan dealer visits, run effective meetings in an organized fashion, ensure that the right people are in the room, develop a clear agenda, and have a strong, persuasive, and engaging presence.
- Be a quick thinker with the ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively by applying logical analysis to make quality decisions on a timely basis.
- Respond promptly and effectively to problems.
- Demonstrate self-awareness and understand own strengths and development needs while seeking feedback to gain insight from mistakes.
- Gain trust of others and build solid relationships across and vertically throughout the organization and with our Dealers.
- Hire and develop a high performing team by providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality performance.
- Proactively identify future business opportunities and develop strategies to address them.
- Think strategically to create appropriate strategies for areas of responsibility, identifying and implementing ideas that add value to the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience managing sales in a dealership or corporate setting or similar role with a proven track record of growth, hiring, training, and performance management.
- Proven trend of improved performance, including examples of learning from mistakes and taking action on training/coaching.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving targets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and remote work environment.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time.
Targeted Compensation: $155,250 - $162,500 + Monthly Commission #Zip #LI-Remote Benefits
