OVERVIEW: We are looking for a Corporate Communications Senior Associate to support General Mills' International and North America Foodservice segments and the communications workstream for recent Pet acquisitions. This position reports to the Corporate Communications Director, Pet, International and North America Foodservice. In this role, you will partner on the execution of refreshingly authentic communications strategies for the International and North America Foodservice segments. You will also partner closely to develop integration communications for General Mills' recent Pet business acquisitions as well as communications supporting Segment President initiatives including quarterly earnings, business transformation efforts and segment/enterprise events. This role is an opportunity to build skills in strategic consulting and influence, financial communications, event management and creative storytelling - all while having high impact within our business and more broadly within the General Mills organization. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Execute executive positioning and segment communication strategies across internal channels, grounded in propelling business objectives, employee engagement, and authentic leadership in partnership with the Corporate Communications Manager, International and North America Foodservice.
- Serve as communications partner on International and North America Foodservice key internal events by developing event objectives, key messages, agendas, project plans/timelines, reviewing processes, and thinking creatively to drive employee engagement in service to the segments and enterprise's business priorities.
- Write and direct the production of communications assets (PowerPoint presentations, videos, emails, meeting invites, surveys, sourcing creative assets, etc.) in support of International and North America Foodservice segment events.
- Oversee International and North America Foodservice Segment communications operations including consulting/managing segment air traffic control, maintaining content calendars, updating the International and North America Foodservice's intranet pages ensuring high-quality, engaging content as well as ensuring the accuracy of all-segment distribution list logic.
- Partner with the Corporate Communications Director and Integration Management Office workstream leaders to develop and execute communications strategies to support the integration of General Mills' recent Pet business acquisitions. May include the stand-up of new communications channels, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Support key communication initiatives for Group President, Pet, International and North America Foodservice on a project basis, in partnership with the Corporate Communications Director.
- Serve as a liaison and establish updated ways of working, as needed, across the Corporate Communications team, International and North America Foodservice Brand teams to amplify brand communications across internal and external channels.
- Review and analyze metrics and outcomes to continuously learn and drive improvements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of professional communications experience in a corporate or agency setting.
- Highly independent self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities on competing timelines, with a bias for action.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across functions and reporting levels.
- Meeting/event planning experience and video project management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail across written work and calendar management.
- Position based in Minneapolis, MN.

- Strong business and financial communications acumen.
- Experience with internal, external, and mergers and acquisitions communications.
- Experience managing agency partners.
- Experience counseling project teams or clients to achieve stronger results.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- This is a Minneapolis, MN-based role, it is not remote eligible at this time.
- International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

The salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119400.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role.
