Description *Barnes* has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a Production Planner in its Force and Motion Control SBU, Maumee, OH. If you are a talented, self-driven and high- energy individual to serve as Production Planner for ASRaymond, this position is for you. This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate who will contribute as a member of the supply chain and operations team. Core Responsibilities: Manage work order creation, processing, and filing to ensure customer on time delivery is met. Identify, plan and resolve inconsistencies and gaps between demand and supply, communicating potential problems across departments and management, ensuring high customer on time delivery. Analyze load of future work against anticipated and planned events with goal of "level-loading" manufacturing operations. Develop production schedules and monitor the MPS/MRP system for due dates for both production and materials. Manage item setup and routes to support operations, including lead times and order policies Monitor excess inventory, create action plans and execute to reduce. Send open purchase order report to suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and manage PO due dates in the ERP system. Manage and resolve discrepancies with supplier invoices to ensure payments are completed on time Resolve shipment issues with suppliers, receiving issues, packaging standards, etc. Approve supplier shipments and reviewing for expedited deliveries as needed. Knowledgeable of company procedures and ensures compliance. Performs all other assignments as requested by management. Understanding of materials management theory and practices Experience with Microsoft Office package including Outlook and Word Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc Ability to adapt to continually changing environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
